Baker’s End

‘O’ Gauge

Originally bought in an unfinished condition in the North of England, the layout was the Club’s first foray into “O” Gauge.
The layout is owned by the Club and some of the Members and is being extended and finished in the Clubroom at the moment.
It represents a small branch line terminus which has been taken over by a preservation society - hence the variety of Locomotives and rolling stock with ex- GWR, ex- LNER, ex-LMS and ex-Highland railway locos with a variety of stock including BR.
The name of the station comes from the fact that K & D MRC own and have renovated an old bakery (hence our now departed “OO” layout “Dunkneadin’ ”) - one member suggested that Baker’s End station would be on the “Bread Line”, why not ?

The layout, hopefully, will make its exhibition debut  at Irvine in January 2011.
