“Dorlish”

Vintage three rail

“OO” Layout

 

The Club had the good fortune to be given a Hornby Dublo three rail layout, along with a small amount of Locomotives and Rolling Stock.

 

Terry Hickman took an immediate interest , since he had a considerable amount of 3 Rail Stock, later and he suggested  that he would take responsibility for the development of the layout.He was later joined by Hugh Brown and between them they run “Dorlish” at Exhibitions.

 

Terry has expanded what was there and created a portable layout which takes a trick wherever it goes - many, many, older modellers cut their teeth on such a layout and when we show it, nostalgia rules !

 

‘Dorlish’ shows what model railways were like before the 1960’s when Hornby finally succumbed and adopted two rail as the standard.
