Model Railway Layouts

Kyles Hill

Kilmarnock are pleased to show "Kyleshill" as our main layout.

Our new N Gauge layout "Lockside"

Kyles Hill

A new self-drive layout to give "hands on" experience showing Thomas Locos and rolling stock.

Dundee MRC are bringing along a 32 foot long layout “Arbroath” running Modern Image stock.

Kyle MRC and Renfrewshire MRC will also attend but have not yet confirmed layouts.

Douglas Sutherland from Largs – The Tram Stop – will show “Spiersbridge” a tram layout featuring largely Glasgow Trams.

Dave Coddington will exhibit model trains of yesteryear which also brings nostalgia to the surface.

The traders will be:

Pooleys Puffers

Dave and Anne Poole will bring Pooleys Puffers with a range of Locos, rolling stock and building materials for modellers.

North Road

North Road Trains, Charlie Turner, will have a good selection of “pre loved” locos and rolling stock.

Lathalmond model will return this year with a stock of locos and rolling stock for sale.

Douglas Blades has a big range of books, CD’s and Videos on transport themes.
Douglas is the only trader to have been part of all our shows since Saltcoats 1983!

Franzi and David Kay return with many dioramas, figures, animals etc. Which complement the “trains” on model Railways.

This year we have a “first” in Graeme McQuaker from Irvine bringing along Road Transport Images a selection of 1:76 kits, accessories, chassis, bodies etc to let you bring scale commercial vehicles to your layout.

Another new arrival this year is the N Gauge Society – Forth and Clyde Area group with Phil Holman as ic!

In addition the full range of Scottish Maritime Exhibits will be accessible for visitors to the exhibition.

The Secretary will have her usual squad of helpers beavering away in the Buffet helping to keep visitors fed and watered during the show.

We look forward to seeing you there!
