Kilmarnock and District Model Railway Club - Layouts

Baker's End

28’0 x 4’0

Originally bought in an unfinished condition in the North of England, the layout was the Club’s first foray into “O” Gauge.

The layout is owned by the Club and some of the Members and is being extended and finished in the Clubroom at the moment.

It represents a small branch line terminus which will be trying to show how members of the Club who remember railways in earlier days felt.

The name of the station comes from the fact that K & D MRC own and have renovated an old bakery (hence our now departed “OO” layout “Dunkneadin’”) - one member suggested that Baker’s End station would be on the “Bread Line”, why not?
